Saturday, March 10, 2018 11:00AM – 2:30PM
4th Avenue East between 14th and 12th Streets East, one block north of SR64 East Bradenton
Join Reflections of Manatee, Board of Directors and volunteers to celebrate the completion of our goal to fully restore the three houses comprising the National Register Curry Houses Historic District. Two houses date from 1860 and one from 1925; you would not believe the “before” pictures!
You will be able to visit:
• The 1860 home of Amanda (Andress) and Samuel George Curry, an enlisted man of the Army and Navy during the Civil War, now a living history museum.
• The 1860 Mary Amelia Curry house, a school teacher’s home transformed to exhibit hall.
• The newly finished Theodosia Curry Lloyd craftsman bungalow, our education and meeting center, restored to its 1925 beauty.
• Archaeological artifacts from the on-site research which took place will be on display.
*Free street parking is available. The event is free, but a donation or joining as a member ($15) is always appreciated! For more information contact 941-746-2035 or email ReflectionsofManatee@msn.com
