Manatee Mineral Spring Archaeology Program, March 7, 2020 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM

At 10:00 AM Sherry Svekis, and Dr. Uzi Baram, will present their new findings with a photo collection from the recent archaeological dig and a tour of the archaeological site at Manatee Mineral Spring Park. 

Following the presentation will be interior tours of the National Register Curry Museums. These handicap accessible museums will be open 10-1 with guides in attendance. The Samuel George Curry house is a Civil War Soldier living history museum. The adjacent Mary Amelia house displays artifacts from past digs. Our Visitors Center, the Theodosia Curry’s residence, displays information on the recent listing of the Manatee Mineral Spring Park to the National Parks Service Underground Railroad Network to Freedom.
